Camping

goodtentWe have primitive campsites available on the farm along the banks of the Obey River. RVs and Tents are welcome, and so are hardy folks who prefer to have nothing between them and the beautiful night sky.

Please note: To keep everyone safe, we appreciate your cooperation in limited vehicular traffic in the camping areas during the festival. Please bring all your supplies with you to limit leaving the festival. Please be courteous and take only the space you need when setting up camp.

Camping Areas
All camping is on a first come, first serve basis and in most cases you can camp in close proximity to your car. We will have three separate camping areas, Family Camping (designated for those who would like a more kid-friendly environment that is quieter late at night and a bit louder early in the morning), Quiet Camping and Jam Camping. Please respect your neighbors and keep noise to a minimum late at night and early in the morning. Just let them know at the gate which area you're interested in and you'll be pointed in the right direction.
There will be a community bonfire each night in the Camping areas.
Make sure you come prepared to take part in the Best Lookin' Campsite Competition. You might just win free festival tickets for next year!

Who can camp?
RV's and campers with a 3-day camping pass can setup camp starting anytime after 3:00pm on the Thursday before the festival.  If you've purchased the 2-day weekend camping pass you can setup anytime after 10AM on Saturday only.  All Campers can stay until midday Monday.  Anything after that and we might put you to work.

Take part in the campers pot-luck dinner party on Thursday evening at 6:00pm with a TV recording at 8:30pm. You must have a 3-day camping pass to attend.  Bring your covered dish and make sure to also bring your own plate, fork, and drink!

What to bring
You should pack all the food and supplies that you’ll need. It’s a long way to the nearest store . . . . Of course, you could always ask your neighbor.
But we will have ice for sale and food vendors on-site.
Make sure to bring sunscreen, swimsuits, bug spray, flashlights, a hat, shades, Rain gear (extra tarps), acoustic instruments for campsite jams, consider bringing a shade structure or tarp anything that will help create a shaded area in your campsite.

Festival Rules
No pets. Sorry, we do not allow pets.

No fires directly on the ground! Contained cook fires such as hibachis, grills or propane cook stoves are okay. Bring a fire extinquisher, and keep it handy.

Use garbage and recycling bins as marked, and help us keep the farm clean. Remember, we use the farm for the grandkids, dogs and horses to play and graze throughout the year. Dispose of anything that might make the kids or animals sick such as cigarette butts, instrument strings, plastic bags, paper, etc. Be sure your area is clean before leaving.

• Please don't throw cigarette butts on the ground, it's not good for the horses or grandkids plus it hurts Hippies back to pick these up after the festival is over.

Alcohol is permitted, but we ask everyone to be discreet and considerate of others in every respect. This is a family-friendly event! Under age drinking will not be tolerated.

No motorized vehicles (golf carts, ATVs) are allowed into the festival

Please note that no one under the age of 18 can camp or attend without an adult chaperone.

You must wear wristbands at all times.

Playing with Pat McLaughlin on Jammin at Hippie Jack's was my one of my favorite gigs I played in 09. They've got a unique thing happening out there in Overton County!
