The Farm

oldhouseIn their early twenties, Munch and Hippie moved to Overton County, TN. They became hill-hippies, living with the local community, not in some group of counter culture dropouts all pulling together.

In 1972, they bought 48 acres and a small log cabin on Highland Mountain for $7,500.  The locals generally agreed that they paid way too much.  In 1976, with two kids in tow they moved to their current 200-acre farm on the west fork of the Obey River in a remote and beautiful piece of Overton County.  Hippie and Munch had two more children and the rest is history.

In the holler with the Obey River running through it is just about the most beautiful place on earth.  When you come to a festival, you can judge for yourself.
